Ride a camel! Camel used to be the main mode of transport in the Mongol empire, not horse! Camels were used for the long migrations to carry family homes and belongings. The Mongolian Bactrian, or two-hump camel, is a breed unto it’s own, and gives a much more comfortable ride than their one-hump cousins. Gentle and friendly but tough as nails, you shouldn’t miss the opportunity to do camel riding on one of these sure footed cargo carriers.
Our camel herding nomad families also love to host guests from around the world. You may be lucky enough to stay the night next to one and learn about camel herding culture and how to make camel milk products.
